Sometimes you can’t see the light,
The fog is thick, obscuring sight.
You feel trapped, compelled to hide,
Fearing what you hold inside.
But here’s a truth, a lesson clear,
It’s hard to learn, but persevere:
It doesn’t matter what they say,
You’re worth more, it will be okay.
At times you may feel ugly, steeped in shame,
You’ll work to hide your inner pain.
Comparing yourself to all the rest,
Feeling less, not quite the best.
But don’t let anyone dim your light,
You’re enough, a beautiful sight.
In fog or clear, in day or night,
Embrace yourself with all your might.
